Due to the success of its first phase, the RPS Hundred Heroines initiative Representation on the Line II: (Un)framing our Identities - a collaborative exhibition in which 89 female* photographers explore the theme of identity - has been extended until the end of July.

We are delighted to invite RPS Women in Photography group members to a private view on the evening of the 24th July. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the diversity and creativity of the works in the exhibition, and to meet other members of the group.

RPS President Elect, Del Barrett, will will open the evening with a brief introduction on the Hundred Heroines project, and then participating artist Gisela Torres will discuss selected works from the exhibition, examining their themes, style and presentation.

The event is free but pre-booking is required.  Group members are welcome to bring a friend (or two) - individual bookings are limited to three places.  Photobooks and prints by some of the participating photographers will be available for sale (cash only).

Film-maker and photographer Gisela Torres leads talks, tours and workshops in image and identity, visual literacy, and photography at the National Portrait Gallery, The Photographer's Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, Barbican and Wallace Collection.
