Website Administrator. Circa £23,000. Bristol

The Royal Photographic Society is undertaking exciting changes at present, having just moved to beautiful new premises in Bristol’s “Creative Quarter” and embarking on a renewed strategy to increase our impact. As part of this change, we will be developing a new website in 2019, and this post has been created to assist with ongoing management of our existing site so that our Website Content Manager can focus on the new project.

We are seeking a hardworking, creative and able individual to work under the supervision of our Web Content Manager on a day-to-day basis, working on content and technical aspects, and supporting our many volunteers, who operate the microsites within.

You will have proven experience of website work and social media. You will be a well-organised people person who can learn quickly, manage oneself and prioritise, and quickly build trust with others.

As we are keen to find the right person as soon as possible so there is no closing date for applications. We will review applications as we receive them and arrange interviews with strong applicants as appropriate.

This is an exciting role suitable for a person with a good grounding in website administration, and the energy and aptitude to succeed. We offer a fantastic working environment in Bristol’s newly developed centre for photography.

Invigilator. £8 per hour. Bristol.

Our new building in Bristol houses a gallery space which requires an invigilator. The purpose of this role is the day-to-day invigilation of the Gallery during public opening hours and during occasional evening functions to ensure the safety of the works on display and security of the exhibition. You would also be required to create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and offer support and information on the exhibition, gallery and RPS.
